About 212 Lacrosse

Our name comes from the New York area code β€” a nod to where we come from. We grew up loving a fast-paced, creative style of lacrosse, and since 2009 we've been sharing that with our community in Park City, Utah.

Our goal has never been to be the biggest program around. It's to give each player genuine attention and honest coaching that makes a real difference.

Our players train with D1 and Team USA-level coaches in small groups, because real growth happens in the details β€” one rep, one conversation at a time.

Our Approach

01
Coaches Who Play

Our coaches have played at the D1 and national level. We think you coach best what you've lived.

02
Small Groups

We keep groups small on purpose. You can't coach the details from a distance.

03
New York Style

Fast, creative, instinctive lacrosse. The 212 style rewards players who think for themselves and play with flair.

04
Compete Every Day

Whether it's a drill or a championship final, we want our players learning to compete β€” not just go through the motions.

05
The Whole Person

Wins matter. But our deeper goal is helping young people develop the discipline and character that serve them long after lacrosse.

06
Open to Everyone

We offer free training for families facing financial hardship. The game should be for everyone, and we take that seriously.

Mike Acee

Mike grew up in Deer Park, New York, where he was introduced to lacrosse by his father, Fred Acee, a Hall of Fame player whose love for the game left a lasting impression. Mike's growth as a player earned him All-American recognition and a spot on Team Long Island at the New York Empire State Games, where the team captured a Gold Medal.

He went on to play at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under Coach Willie Scroggs, one of the most respected coaches in the sport's history. Coach Scroggs built a program defined by elite standards β€” one that produced six ACC Championships and three NCAA titles during his tenure. Mike was part of four of those ACC Championship teams and one National Championship team, experiences that shaped how he thinks about the game, about accountability, and about competing for something bigger than individual recognition.

After eight years in San Francisco, Mike settled in Park City in 2005. He spent six years as a snowboard trainer at Park City Mountain Resort before returning his full attention to lacrosse β€” the sport that had given him so much.

He began coaching locally, working with youth recreation teams in Park City and at The Waterford School. Over seven seasons, those teams went 126–36 and won three state championships β€” results that belong to the players who put in the work.

In 2009, Mike founded 212 Lacrosse. The program has since accumulated 372 wins and 86 losses in tournament play, with 40 tournament championships β€” including titles at the West's most competitive events. And, to the 95 players who have earned college lacrosse commitments, congratulations.

Community Matters

We think a sports program should give back to its community. That's something we try to act on, not just talk about.

Over the years, 212 teams have donated to families facing adversity, supported the Graham Harden Cause, and organized charity efforts to honor teammates and local families in need.

We also offer free training programs for families who wouldn't otherwise have access. No kid should miss out because of financial circumstances.
