Our StoryWho We Are
Our name comes from the New York area code β a nod to where we come from. We grew up loving a fast-paced, creative style of lacrosse, and since 2009 we've been sharing that with our community in Park City, Utah.
Our goal has never been to be the biggest program around. It's to give each player genuine attention and honest coaching that makes a real difference.
Our players train with D1 and Team USA-level coaches in small groups, because real growth happens in the details β one rep, one conversation at a time.

Founder & Director
Mike grew up in Deer Park, New York, where his father, Fred Acee β a Hall of Fame player β first put a stick in his hands and passed on a love for the game that has never left him. With that foundation, Mike earned All-American honors and a place on Team Long Island at the New York Empire State Games, where the team brought home a Gold Medal.
He went on to play at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill under Coach Willie Scroggs, one of the most respected coaches in the sport's history. Scroggs built a program defined by elite standards β six ACC Championships and three NCAA titles during his tenure β and Mike was fortunate to be part of it, starting at attack on four ACC Championship teams and one National Championship team. More than the titles, those years shaped how he thinks about the game: accountability, fundamentals, and competing for something bigger than himself.
Mike settled in Park City in 2005. For several years he worked as an AASI Level 3 snowboard trainer at Park City Mountain Resort while building his coaching career on the lacrosse field β first with local youth recreation teams and at The Waterford School. Across seven seasons, those teams went 126β36 and won three state championships, the product of players who bought in and did the work.
In 2009, he founded 212 Lacrosse, built on a simple conviction: players improve fastest when they get real attention. Mike keeps coach-to-player ratios low, runs semi-private sessions, and coaches to each player's specific weaknesses rather than running everyone through the same drills.
Over the years, 212 has compiled a 498β122 tournament record and 43 championships β 40 in club play, including the Vail Shootout and other competitive events across the West, along with three state titles from his earlier teams. Ninety-five players have gone on to compete in college lacrosse. Mike is the first to say none of it belongs to him alone: it's the work of the players who earned it, the families who made it possible, and the coaches who pour into the program every season.

How We Work
The numbers tell part of the story. How we coach tells the rest. These six principles have guided 212 since day one.
Our coaches have played at the D1 and national level. We think you coach best what you've lived.
We keep groups small on purpose. You can't coach the details from a distance.
Fast, creative, instinctive lacrosse. The 212 style rewards players who think for themselves and play with flair.
Whether it's a drill or a championship final, we want our players learning to compete β not just go through the motions.
Wins matter. But our deeper goal is helping young people develop the discipline and character that serve them long after lacrosse.
We offer free training for families facing financial hardship. The game should be for everyone, and we take that seriously.
Giving Back
We think a sports program should give back to its community. That's something we try to act on, not just talk about.
Over the years, 212 teams have donated to families facing adversity, supported the Graham Harden Cause, and organized charity efforts to honor teammates and local families in need.
We also offer free training programs for families who wouldn't otherwise have access. No kid should miss out because of financial circumstances.
Thankful to have been part of this community for 17 years β and to the families who've trusted us along the way.
Come Play
Whether you're just picking up a stick or trying to earn a college scholarship, we'd love to work with you.
